The transformation of global communication media has resulted in fundamental changes in Islamic preaching practices. This study aims to analyze the continuity and shifts in the scholarly tradition of preaching in the transition from pulpit-based preaching to digital preaching. Using a qualitative method based on literature review, this research compares the epistemic characteristics, religious authority, delivery methods, and forms of congregation interaction in these two models of preaching. The analysis results show continuity in aspects such as the orientation toward knowledge, reference to classical Islamic sources, and the goal of preaching as a means of disseminating knowledge and community guidance. However, significant shifts were also found, particularly in the structure of religious authority, which is increasingly decentralized, the presentation of messages, which is more concise and visual, and interaction patterns, which are more open and two-way through digital media. Digital preaching expands the reach and accessibility of Islamic messages, but This raises challenges related to the validity of knowledge, religious authority, and the depth of study. This research recommends strengthening media literacy and religious literacy, as well as implementing a hybrid da'wah model that combines the strengths of pulpit preaching and digital media to preserve the integrity of Islamic scholarly tradition while meeting the needs of da'wah in the digital era. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for further studies and the development of da'wah strategies that are adaptive yet epistemically sound.
