Analisis Kodikologi Manuskrip Al-Qur’an di Museum Sejarah Al-Qur’an Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, in which the data are obtained from written sources. Qur’anic manuscripts copied by earlier scholars not only contain the Qur’anic text but also reflect cultural and aesthetic elements. This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the Museum of Qur’anic History of North Sumatra and to describe the Qur’anic manuscript preserved in the museum. The focus of the study is directed toward two main aspects: the historical background and general profile of the Museum of Qur’anic History of North Sumatra, and the description of the Qur’anic manuscript, including its physical condition, completeness, and writing characteristics. Data were collected through library research and direct observation of the research object, and then analyzed descriptively to present systematic and comprehensible information in accordance with the research objectives.
